ThursFriDay!

Seeing as how we're back in business and keeping this blog up to date with all of our crafty makes, I'm itching to show you all a few of Mum's latest felt makes. The only problem with that is we wet ourselves up to have "felt Friday" last time, and...well it's only Thursday!! So I've decided as I can't wait, that today is now ThursFriday! AND as there's Friday in that title, I can show you a felt make (yes, yes, I know it's cheating...just don't tell Mum!).

Now I'm not the biggest fan in the world of owls, but I do love these....She's getting ever so clever with her felting makes is Mum (Just wait til tomorrow and you'll see what I mean!) 

When Mum first started making the owls she used just the felt. Which obviously we thought were cute...

But then she tried using a mixture of felt and fabrics, which are so much cuter! Not only that, but you can make them more colourful and in so many different colours...

And again for all of our crafty maker friends, these cute owls were made using the sizzix bigz owl die - owl #2, and the xcut scalloped hearts dies. 

I shall be back with another felty make tomorrow!

Felt Friday Returns!

As I told you yesterday, we're back posting with a vengeance! Plus, not only that but we're also bringing back Felt Friday!! Starting today I shall be sharing just a few of the things Mum's been making out of felt...For months now she's been stitching this and that by hand, but for Christmas my Dad was kind enough to buy her a sewing machine! What's she been stitching with it I hear you ask? Well actually as of now it's still sitting in it's box!! Yes, that's right...in the box!! For month's she'd been planning what she'd do with the thing, yet now she's got it she's not used it haha!! I should probably tell you she's a bit scared of breaking it...she needs time to be able to sit and play and figure it all out...time that right now, none of us have...so until she gets that time she's still stitching everything by hand. 

What has she been stitching?? Well, anyone remember Barry? (Barry was the little penguin phone case Mum made). Barry now has friends!!....

Isn't it cute!! I haven't named the little monkey as this one's not mine. Having seen Barry, Mum was asked to make other animals/versions of the phone cases. She's been stitching away at quite a few different designs...all of which I'd love to share with you...BUT...Mum forgot to take photographs of them before giving them away (woops). Monkey was actually the first one she finally remembered to photograph, so Monkey is what I get to show you haha!! 

Ooo and seeing as a very special Lady likes a monkey, and loves pink...Mum instantly had to make another version...

I'm not quite sure which I prefer...perhaps I should have kept them both haha!!

Felt Friday 6 - Twit Twoo!

Hello everyone,Mum here doing the blog today.Little is busy making anniversary cards.As you can see I have been making more keyrings. This time they are Owls and I think very cute.Am going to have to stop making keyrings and come up with different ideas,watch this space.....

As you can see the weather was nice so had them hanging in the tree,hope the weather holds and that summer is now here...

As you can see been making in all sorts of  colours.Think they would look good as a mobile for baby maybe with some flowers inbetween.I think Lady may like this one as it is pink.

But this final one is mine as I have a thing for these two colours together....

Felt Friday 5

Helloooo!! I'm back again with another of Mum's felt creations...this time delivered straight from the tooth fairy!!! Mum was thinking of new ideas for using felt when she suddenly conjured up these...

Not only are they little teeth...but they also have a little pocket in the back of them!!! The idea is, that when the little one loses their tooth, instead of the tooth fairy having to rummage around to find their tooth before leaving some pennies, you can place the tooth in the back of the tooth pillow and when you wake up in the morning it'll have been replaced with a special treat!!! 

Cute aren't they!!

Felt Friday 4

I'm back with some more felt creations to share with you today. The first of Mum's creations is something I've already sort of shared with you... 

You may remember Mum made these turtles a while ago, along with the cupcakes and poppy badges that I've also shared before?? Well, whilst out shopping a couple of weeks ago we came across some basket bags we both liked. With it apparently being summer we decided to buy them to use for the summer. I wasn't too keen on some of the finishing touches on my bag though, so after a few tweaks here and there, Mum managed to turn her £3 bag into this ....

Whilst my £5 bag became this ... 

The inside of mine doesn't have a lining that seals, but a little clasp instead. It seemed a little boring sat on it's own, so Mum's even managed to add a little flower to the clasp too ... 

You can just about see it in this photo without me showing you what rubbish I've filled my bag with!!

They're not bad for a cheap bag are they?!

Onto new things then??? Mum's always reading books. So I guess it was inevitable that she'd eventually make these ... 

Nope, they're not badges this time, they're bookmarks... 

As you can see, they sit at the bottom of the page to keep you from losing where you are...

They even sit inside the book once you've marked your page so it doesn't get damaged!!

She's getting far too clever is Mum!

Felt Friday!!

With Mum having made so many felt creations lately, I thought I'd rename Fridays - Felt Fridays! She's made all sorts of things this week, but I'm only going to share a couple of them with you today.... Ooo and they're both christmas figures!! 

First up there's Rudolph ...  

She's made smaller reindeer decorations before, but I personally think these ones are cuter. They could be used as all kinds of things such as tree decorations, christmas keyrings, or even added to a gift tag on your presents. 

Then there's Frosty ... 

Again, Mum's made smaller versions, but the larger ones just seem cuter. We've already lost one Frosty to Lady!! 

So this has been the first felt Friday! Lets see what else she comes up with!!
